Annual Report

The Council Plan is a medium-term plan that sets out our strategic direction and focus for what we aim to achieve during the four-year Council term. The Annual Report is where we report on our progress.

Annual Report

The Local Government Act 2020 requires all Victorian councils to prepare an Annual Report each financial year, and present it to a Council meeting before the end of October.

The purpose of the Annual Report is to:

  • report on our performance against delivering the objectives of the Council Plan
  • report on the strategies and initiatives implemented to meet these objectives
  • highlight key achievements and challenges
  • provide details of our financial position

The report includes a copy of the audited Performance Statement and Financial Statement. The report is prepared in accordance with the Local Government Act 1989, the Local Government Act 2020 and the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF).

Council provides quarterly updates on our progress towards achieving our long-term vision, through the implementation of MV2040 and the Council Plan and Health Plan 2021–25, and other key documents. Progress is demonstrated through the delivery of annual Council Plan initiatives, MV2040 implementation initiatives and Disability Action Plan key priority actions.

Our Performance

The Victorian Government established the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF) in 2014 to ensure that all councils measure and report on their performance in a consistent way.
